OHS Band at Tri-County Music Festival

This weekend the Osage Band traveled to Versailles High School to represent our School at Tri County Music Festival.  Our students did a great job!  Here were the results:

Competitive Speech District

Osage Competitive Speech traveled to districts this weekend. Seven students advanced to the final round and here are the results


Caleb Klaus & Tristan Wray placed 5th in Duo 

Caleb & Kaili Fuller placed 5th in Duet Acting

Keely Wersching placed 4th in Dramatic interpretation. 

Colin Years placed 5th in Humorous Interpretation


Faith Edwards placed 1st in Radio speaking and will be going to our state tournament in April. 

One Act play competes on Wednesday for a chance to go to state as well. 

Versailles Math Competition

It was a great morning to be an Indian and attend the Versailles Math Competition. 15 out of 24 students (grades 4-8) received an individual medal. We also received several team awards. I greatly appreciate everyone who contributes to the character, education, and success of all of the math competition participants.

All State Choir

Please Congratulate Elizabeth Groos (Soprano), Maddie Yoder (Alto), Emily Dulle (Soprano-Alt.).....they auditioned and were selected to the MISSOURI ALL-STATE CHOIR!! The Missouri All-State Choir will rehearse and perform in January of 2020 at the Missouri Music Educators Conference. 

OMS Community Awareness Day

Community Awareness Day was a day designed to connect kids to the community and bring awareness to mental health.  The Bagnell Dam Action Team, under the facilitation of Misti Maples, helped organize the event, but also planned lessons around suicide awareness, depression awareness, bullying awareness, positive coping strategies including art, and dealing with drama.  The following community organizations and businesses came in to share what they have to offer our students including volunteer/service activities, physical activities, anti-bullying strategies, confidence and leadership buildi

Congratulations to students who placed in the Forensics Tournament this past weekend. School of the Osage took 4th over all.

Band Competition Results

Saturday, October 5th, we placed 3rd in Finals at the Ozarko Marching Band Festival at Missouri State University.  We also took best Percussion and Color Guard in Finals that evening.  This was our highest placement in Finals at Ozarko since we have attended the festival.

Many of our students earned All District Honors on Tuesday night and will be moving onto All State Band Auditions in December. Congratulations to all of our fine musicians!
