Jazz Band

The Osage Jazz Band is a 22-member group featuring some of Osage’s most talented musicians in grades 9-12.  The students compete for their spots by way of an audition held the previous spring.

The group maintains a standard “big band” style instrumentation but they perform all genres of music including Swing, Jazz, Latin, Blues, Rock, and Funk.  It’s a highly talented group that encourages improvisation that adds a unique flourish to the performances.

A favorite performance for the students as well as the audience is the annual Senior Citizen’s Banquet in November.  Osage Jazz is often invited to entertain at a number of local functions and gatherings.

Some of the performances currently scheduled include the annual OHS Christmas Concert on December 9, 2018 and we will finish the year with our annual Spring Concert on May 10, 2019.

Osage Jazz Band is a fun, high spirited group that truly enjoys performing.  We hope you enjoy our music and we appreciate your support of our program.
