Band

The Marching Indian Band is preparing for another great season.  As always, we will perform at all home varsity football games.  We will also compete at the Ozarko Marching Band Festival at Missouri State on October 6th, Central Methodist University Band Day on October 13th, and the Odessa Marching Invitational at Odessa High School on October 20th.                 
Last season was a successful one for the marching band.  We brought home a number of great finishes from competitions.               
At the Ozarko Showband Competition (Missouri State University) the band was awarded
1st Place in the White Division, Best Music in the White Division, Best Percussion in the White Division, Best Percussion in Finals competition and 5th Place overall in Finals.
The Bi State Invitational resulted in:  1st Place in Class 3, Outstanding Music in Class 3, Outstanding Visual in Class 3, Outstanding Percussion in Class 3, and 6th Place Overall in Finals.
At the Odessa Marching Invitational, the band received:  1st Place in the Black Division Field Competition, Outstanding Music in the Black Division, Outstanding Percussion in the Black Division, 1st Place Indoor Percussion in the Black Division, 1st Place Indoor Color Guard in the Black Division, and Second Place in Parade in the Black Division.

With 30 returning seniors in the Band we are looking forward to having another successful year both on and off the field.

Jeff begins his 14th year as Director of Bands at Osage. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Mizzou and a Masters in Administration from William Woods University. He and his wife Ashley (Osage 1st grade teacher) have been married 11 years. They have two children, Jocelyn (9) and Cullen (7).
Jonathan Capps
Assistant Band Director.
Jonathan begins his sixth year at Osage. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and a Master of Science in Wind Band Conducting from Missouri State University. Jonathon and his wife Jenny have two sons, Rory (5) and Ryker (3).
