The Osage Indians high school Boys Soccer team finished the 2018 fall season with a record of 11-13-1 graduating Keeper Parker Jett, Full-Back Tony Floyd, and Mid-Fielder Ross Brady. If for no other reason, I consider Jett and Ross' commitment to playing college soccer a team success. Any time players can use a sport to further their education and meet their academic goals, I consider it a win for our programs. The 2018 Osage Soccer Boys lifted each other as they found their way in both State and school record books. As a determined group of teammates, they played through adversity at times to finish the season with the best team stats recorded in the past four years. Our team motto was, “Attitude-Effort-Family”, and the players who finished the season were perfect examples of our motto and so much fun to coach.
This year promises to be an exciting season. The Osage Soccer Program will double the size of the Senior squad with at least six players and welcome a large class of Freshman. Seniors Tristan Satterlee, Collin Chilton, Robert Colonius, Zach Deibel, and Garrett Long return to close out their high school careers and welcome fellow Seniors like Nick Boswell to Varsity play. As the head coach, I will look to the Seniors to provide leadership and experience as the Indians face the strongest soccer schedule in program history. Osage will return a core group of Juniors and Sophomores who gained valuable varsity experience last year, and field a balanced team to challenge Class 3 and 4 schools making up the strength of this year's schedule. The 2019-20 Osage Soccer Team sets their sites on building this program to be a contender in tournaments and post-season play. Pelé said, "Success is no accident". The boys have put in the work during the offseason and invite you to be a part of Soccer Nation. As a team, we take pride in playing for Osage and look to the stands for inspiration. Hope to see you there this Fall!
