Cross Country

Last year’s Osage Girl’s CC team captured a 2nd place finish at the district meet and were able to compete as a team at the state meet.  The team placed 13th at the state meet.  This was the second time since 2009 that Osage took an entire girls’ team to state.  The CC program graduated 10 seniors who were great leaders and strong athletes.  Filling in those leadership shoes and working at replacing the talents of those strong seniors are this year’s seniors Micah Hill, Destin Allen, Megan Douglas, Dale Lampe, and Cooper Vickers.  Returning post season honorees are All-Conference Micah Hill, Sarah Porter, Nevaeh Henley, Sara Wolf, Alana Douglas, Megan Douglas, Chase Grosvenor, and All-District Micah Hill.  Last year’s Academic All-State honorees were Micah Hill, Sarah Porter, and Sara Wolf.

There is no off-season for Cross Country and the runners all commit to putting in hundreds of hours and miles over summer break, with several runners attending camps to improve their skills and endurance level in hopes of making it through to post season again.
